The Academy and the State Departmentʼs Diplomats in Residence (DIRs) present a collaborative five-part pre-recorded virtual discussion series that examines the five Foreign Service Officer (FSO) career tracks: Consular Affairs, Economic Affairs, Management Affairs, Political Affairs, and Public Diplomacy.

The test is challenging for a reason, but that doesnʼt mean you shouldnʼt take it within six months. Remember, the test is your first graded assessment. You must cross more barriers in this application process, and each takes time. The sooner you take the test, the sooner you become a diplomat.

Each of the four sections of the FSOT Job Knowledge, English Expression, Situational Judgment, and Written Essay is timed.
