The following components are important parts of a good elevator pitch. Who am I? Write a brief list of ways you describe yourself. What do I do? This is the part where you get to focus on an item or two (rememberyou only have 30 seconds) that you want the person to remember. Whats my ask?

Clear an effective elevator pitch should be understood by a layman, rather than being filled with acronyms and industry terminology. Compelling what problem does your business solve? What can you do for your target audience? Credible spell out what makes you qualified to do what you do.

Briefly explain your relevant skills and experience. Most importantly, connect this to how you would add value to their team. Be clear about what you want to discuss with them. Link to your LinkedIn or portfolio, so they can learn more about your background or view your work samples.

How to write a pitch for a job Introduce yourself. First, state your name and list some important details about yourself. Explain why the position interests you. Share unique facts about yourself. Mention your goal for the pitch. State a call to action.

Example 1: Im driven by a desire to [your career goal or aspiration], and Im actively seeking opportunities to apply my skills in a real-world setting. Whether its through internships, projects, or collaborations, Im excited about the chance to contribute and learn in a dynamic environment.

Our company, [insert Company Name], is in charge of developing and designing [product/service]. With this [product/service], customers can enjoy [list brief benefits]. Weve also helped customers achieve [benefit] by [insert stat]. By [date], we hope to increase [XYZ] by [XYZ].

Example of elevator pitch #2: I am a human resources business partner with 15 years of experience in corporate HR. I have special expertise in leadership, problem-solving, and analysis. I enjoy building relationships, providing the best resources, and developing strategies to meet the needs of the whole organization.
