Make your features page optimized for Chromebook

You can personalize your Chromebook with a custom wallpaper for your desktop. Important: If you use your Chromebook at work or school, your administrator might not let you change your wallpaper. If you cant change your wallpaper, contact your administrator for more help.

How to change the site icon Open a new tab and navigate to the site you want to create a shortcut for with your preferred icon. Once you are on the site, run the bookmarklet you created in step 2. The bookmarklet will prompt you to enter the new shelf icon URL. Enter the image address you copied earlier and press OK.

At the bottom or side of your screen, theres a row of apps called the shelf. If theres an app or web page that you use frequently, you can pin it to the shelf for quick access. You cant add apps and shortcuts to your desktops wallpaper or background.

To add website shortcuts to your Chromebook shelf, follow these steps: Open the Chrome browser, navigate to the web page, then select the Menu icon in the upper-right corner. Select More tools Create Shortcut. Edit the shortcut description to your liking and select Create in the pop-up window.

Change your account photo At the bottom right, select the Time. Select Settings . In the Personalization section, select Set your wallpaper style. At the bottom right of your account photo, select Edit . Change your account photo. To take a photo, select Camera. Take photo. To take a short, looping video, select Loop.

To do this, go to Settings and click on the hamburger menu in the top left corner of the screen. From there, select Appearance to customize the wallpaper and theme and Device to customize the touchpad and keyboard settings. You can also go to chrome://flags/ to access advanced customization options.
