Edit a custom template Open Pages, choose File New, then double-click the template you want to use as the basis for a new template. Custom templates appear in the My Templates category in the template chooser. Make your changes, choose File Save Template, then choose an option to save the document as a new template.

Click where you want the text to appear, then do one of the following: Paste the text with its current formatting into a new paragraph: Choose Edit Paste, or press Command-V on the keyboard. Paste and match the style of the text where youre pasting: Choose Edit Paste and Match Style.

Every time you create a new document, you choose a template from the template chooser (shown below) as a starting point. After you open a template, you can add your own text, replace placeholder graphics or delete them, and add new objects (tables, charts, text boxes, shapes, lines, and media).

Save a document as a template Choose File Save as Template (from the File menu at the top of your screen). Click an option: Add to Template Chooser: Type a name for the template, then press Return. Your template appears in the My Templates category in the template chooser.

Set paper size, page orientation, and margins on Mac Click the Document button in the toolbar, then click the Document tab in the sidebar. To change the paper size, click the pop-up menu in the sidebar that shows the current paper size, then choose an option.

Create an HTML file In the TextEdit app on your Mac, choose File New, then choose Format Make Plain Text. Enter the HTML code. Choose File Save, type a name followed by the extension . html (for example, enter index. html), then click Save. When prompted about the extension to use, click Use . html.

Edit content: Double-click the cell to make the insertion point appear, then type. To move the insertion point, click where you want it, then type. Replace content: Click the cell, then start typing. The existing content is overwritten.

Add a new page template Click. in the toolbar, then choose Edit Page Templates. Click. Type a name for the new page template, then click OK. Modify the page by adding, deleting, or editing text, placeholders, images, shapes, and other objects. When youre finished, click Done at the bottom of the window.
