Chromium is separated into two main parts (excluding other libraries): the browser and the renderer (which includes Blink, the web engine). The browser is the main process and represents all the UI and I/O.

Can I Trust Chromium? The Chromium browser itself wonʼt harm your machine as long as you download it from a trusted source. Since itʼs intended for developers, itʼs less stable and less secure than most browsers, and may put you at a higher risk of a malware infection.
