Select Add Forum. Provide a Title and Description for the Forum. In our video example above, under the Languages Forum Group, we created a Forum for English, Spanish, and French. Under the Moderators field, choose a user or users to be moderators of this particular Forum. Click Add to create the Forum.

Create a community without a template: Select Create my own to set up a community without using a template. Use a template: Go to Start with a template, then select a template. To see more template topics, use the scroll bar on the far-right side of the Create a community window and move through the template options.

Create a forum. On the navigation pane, select Forum, and then select New. Type a Name, then select the Forum Settings and Website Settings you want to apply to the forum. Your administrator manages these settings.

How to Conduct a Public Forum Designate a discussion leader or group facilitator who is known and respected, neutral on the topic, has good listening and group process skills, and can keep things moving and on track. Introduce the leader of the community initiative and the discussion leader.

Create a Microsoft 365 group In the admin center, expand Teams groups, and then select Active teams groups. Select Add Microsoft 365 group. On the Basics page, type a name for the group, and, optionally, a description. Select Next.

Forum management is a vital part of keeping forums friendly and productive. Establish forum rules and encourage quality posts. Forum rules donʼt need to be too complicated nor should they be too lengthy. Keep out the spam. Stay active and involved in the community. Monitor forum traffic.
