SharePoint Administrators can create sites Only a small group of administrators in IT or a business team are able to create new SharePoint sites. Users are able to request new sites from this admin team through some form of internal request mechanism.

As a SharePoint Administrator and above in Microsoft 365, you can let your users create and administer their own SharePoint sites, determine what kind of sites they can create, and specify the location of the sites. By default, users can create communication sites and Microsoft 365 group-connected team sites.

Go to the page where you want to add the Button web part. If your page is not already in edit mode, click Edit at the top right of the page. Click +, and then search for and select Button from the list of web parts.

Create a classic site Go to Active sites in the SharePoint admin center, and select Create. At the bottom of the panel, select Brose more sites. Under Choose a template, select More templates. In the Title box, enter a name for the site. Select OK.

Users assigned the SharePoint Administrator role have access to the SharePoint admin center and can create and manage sites, designate site admins, manage sharing settings, and manage Microsoft 365 groups, including creating, deleting, and restoring groups, and changing group owners.
